I'm BACK!

Hi there Hauraki Class.
So stunning and beautiful in reality!
Awesome people on bikes
Carrying milk
Many many monkeys in many many places.
Always ready to snatch your food or drink.

Making chapati outside their homes, three times a day.
One for the cow, one for the dog, one for the hungry
stranger, then the rest for the family!
It is great to be back. Really!! It was an amazing time away in India and Singapore and I appreciate all the support I got from the school staff, board of trustees and you students (who I have heard have been excellent) to be able to be away for the first part of this term. The wedding we attended in India was very special. We wore India clothes and jewellery we borrowed from Mrs Najak and Mrs Rai. Thank goodness for them as we needed three different outfits for the different events. After staying in Goa and Mumbai for the main wedding events I flew to Delhi in the North of India and joined 12 other people to travel around an area called Rajasthan, with a guide, driver and bus boy. I have way too many photos to share them all (like thousands!) but I will add a few highlights.
SEEING TIGERS in the Ranthambhore National Park

A colourful, happy, friendly
wedding procession in the street of a
local village.

They came very close to our
open topped trucks!
Lots of animals on the streets
Markets markets markets

Carrying ANYTHING on a bike.
Crazy wires

Forts and Castles in every town and city and in between!
