Cleaning out our HOUSE!!

PLASTIC HOUSE
Well our Installation was set up for the Art Show at the end of Term 3. It filled up half way as the structure was much bigger than we had first planned. BUT it was still SOOOOO much rubbish.
The Clean Up Begins!

We created signs to advertise the message of our art work and stake around the house during the week. Unfortunately it was a week of storms and down pours so we needed to set up our explanation and signs in the hall as well as outside. The Art show had a opening evening for parents to come and visit all the work in the hall. Some students played the piano in the background, others served food to our guests, others helped families take part in our community weaving project. But I digress!
The clean up of the house wasn't much fun at all!! It smelt!. It was wet! It was gross!

  8. Hey!
I love the idea of this! For our school, we are planning to get a tunnel house and my friends and I are currently designing a garden for our school along with one of our teachers Mrs Lange.

What message were you trying to send while doing this? Is it to stop rubbish from polluting the world?

    Thanks,
    Ariana ( https://ymsariana.blogspot.com/ ), Yaldhurst Model School.

  10. What an interesting idea. And it's great that you're caring for your environment. At Wesley Primary we have started collected soft plastic in a bin but we have problems where people put the wrong things in. Do you have any tips for us?

    1. Hi phil Maybe you could put Pictures of what can go in the bin and what not can go in the bin, also you could colour the bins different colours.

  13. Hi Hauraki I'm Layton from Yaldhurst Model School. It looks like your still having fun cleaning the little shed and beat that your going to make it look great. Maybe you could get a bunch of bins and put them next to the shed so you can clean it faster.
keep cleaning and have a good rest of the year.

    I'm Teegan a yr6 student from YMS.
I agree too that you should not let this happen to our planet.
What made you think that making a house for rubbish would help the world?
How long did this take to clear out all the rubbish from the house?
