I think that if teachers grade us at math, reading and writing we might grade them to make stuff more interesting so we can know what we are doing faster so we can get on to it fast and have more time to get on to it and write what we think.

I would grade teachers with their lack of respect to us because if they make us stay in to do our work it is kind of unfair because we have a right to go out and play! If teachers give this a shot I think they will be quite surprised about the turn out.

    1. Interesting comments Peter. We are open to ideas that will make learning more interesting for sure. Usually if students have to stay in it is because they wasted the time that they had for learning which is also unfair. Yes I agree playing is important so I see that both sides need to be respectful of what each time slot is used for.

  3. I think that we should grade teachers because they grade us. And that the students get a time to grade people. And that teachers they write reports about us. They tell us what we can work on. So all of the students should grade teachers so they can learn better and play sports. So they can get fit. And they can run up One Tree Hill 1000 times so the can get so fit and we can write reports about them.

  4. Yes, I will grade a teacher because it will be fair 'cause if the teachers can grade us then we can grade them. I will grade them on art to see how well they can do art. I will grade them on their creativity.

  5. I think that students should be able to grade teachers but they don't have to. Grading teachers could be like a way of feedback on what they're doing well and what they aren't really doing. Plus they grade us so why can't we grade them? It's pretty much the exact same thing just with adults!

  6. Of course, I will definitely grade teachers so they can see what they are good at and not. They will see what it's like when we grade them. We can grade teachers so they can see what they can do next time and what they can improve. Its good that they now what they are doing. they can see what they need to do more and they will never forget!

  7. I think we should be able to grade our teachers. Grading teachers means we can give them feedback on what they have and haven't done right. Plus they grade us so why can't we grade our teachers?. Grading teachers would be pretty fun but how would we grade them?

    1. Interesting idea for sure. What would you grade them against? A rubric or level system would need to be created. Who would create it? Who would say what is the correct or acceptable levels? Feedback is always important though and the surveys is an opportunity for feedback.

  8. In my opinion I think that Teachers should get grades and reports so that they can set themselves their own goals and work on their parts that they need to and also to be proud of what they have done too.

  9. Hi Ms Sands
I think that we should grade teachers. We would grade them on how kind they were and how much we had learnt from them. It would be good for the teachers to know what they need improving on.

I think that if we grade teachers it will be better for us as well because they will know how to improve. It will help us learn and we will have a better education. This would look amazing in our school because all our teachers are great. They would have barley anything to improve on because they are so awesome.

I hope you enjoyed my opinion on this.

  10. Student voice is always important and getting feedback does help everyone so teachers are no different. Using the student surveys - wellbeing - is a place this can happen now.
